From the first call to the final inspection, our goal is to make the process smooth, convenient, and done right the first time. Below you’ll find aftercare instructions for your new glass, as well as the details of your included warranties.

Aftercare Instructions


Windshield & Back Glass Replacement

  • Avoid slamming doors for the first 24 hours. The pressure change from a hard door close can weaken the seal while it's still setting.
  • No high-pressure car washes for 48 hours. The force from high-powered sprayers can disrupt the edges of the glass before it's fully cured.
  • Rain or hand washing is totally fine. A gentle rinse won’t hurt a thing—just hold off on drive-thrus and pressure wands for a couple days.
  • Leave any retention tape in place (if applied) for at least 24 hours to help keep molding and trim properly positioned.


Door Glass Replacement

There’s no special care needed for door glass once it’s installed. You can operate your windows normally right away. If your door panel was removed for installation, we’ve already ensured it’s back in place and secure. Still, if anything feels off with the window switch or door alignment, give us a call—better safe than sorry.


Quarter Glass & Vent Glass

These pieces are typically bonded in place just like a windshield or back glass, so we recommend treating them the same way:

  • Avoid slamming doors for 24 hours
  • No high-pressure washing for 48 hours
  • Gentle hand washing is okay
  • Leave any tape or bracing in place as instructed


💡 Quick Tip: Skip the Ammonia

Many common glass cleaners (like traditional blue sprays) contain ammonia, which can:

  • Dry out your vehicle’s rubber seals, leading to cracking over time
  • Damage factory or aftermarket window tint
  • Leave streaks that are hard to remove, especially in sunlight

We recommend using ammonia-free automotive glass cleaner for a safer, longer-lasting clean.

🛠️ CHIP HAPPENS Warranty

6 Months of Free Chip Repairs

Things happen—we get it. Every windshield replacement comes with our Chip Happens Warranty, which includes:

  • Free chip repairs for 6 months after your replacement
  • Repairs must be done at our shop
  • Applies only to the glass we installed
  • If the chip spreads before we’re able to repair it, the warranty does not cover full replacement

If you get a chip:

  • Cover it with clear tape (like packing tape) as soon as you can to keep out moisture and debris.
  • This won’t stop it from spreading, but it gives us the best chance of a clean, successful repair.

Call us as soon as you notice damage—waiting too long increases the risk of it turning into a full crack.



🔧 Lifetime Workmanship Warranty

We back our work with an industry-standard lifetime warranty against:

  • Leaks
  • Air noise
  • Installation issues related to workmanship


Rust Disclosure:
If we notice rust during the install, we’ll do our best to clean and seal the area. If the rust worsens or causes leaks later, we offer a one-time reseal at no cost. However, we can’t offer a long-term guarantee on rust-related problems, as corrosion is unpredictable and often spreads beyond the glass area.
